Let Yourself is the third studio album by American singer-songwriter Aniyah. It was released on August 19, 2014 through Epic Records. A total of twenty-five songs were recorded, all written by her, the album was produced by Jeff Bhasker being the executive producer, Benny Blanco, Stargate, Steve Robson, Ben Roulston , The-Dream, Greg Wells, Rami Yacoub, and Kara DioGuardi . Let Yourself efforts resulted in a primarily elements of pop, with influences of dance-pop, contemporary R&B and disco. Lyrically, the album is inspired by Aniyah's life events, such as romantic relationships, self-discovery, and breaking free.
The album received generally positive reviews from music critics, surpassing the expectations of critics, due to the more versatility content compared to their previous debut album. Let Yourself debuted at number one at US Billboard 200 with 509,409 copies sold in its first week, remained in the top three for its first 26 weeks, the top five for 29 consecutive weeks, and the top 10 for a total of 60 weeks on US Billboard 200, also reached the number one in more than 12 countries. Eventually, the album became world's best-selling the year for 2016 with 5.2 million copies.
Aniyah won a total of three Grammy Awards, incluiding Best Pop Vocal Album, and also received nominations for Album of the Year. By January 2019, the album sold 3,076,000 in the United States, and was certified six times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), denoting 5 million album-equivalent units. Outside United States, the album was certfied platinum in many countries, incluiding Argentin, Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany and the United Kingdom, also was certified Diamond in Brazil and Mexico. As of April 2019, the album sold over 8 million worldwide.
Six singles have been released from the album: incluiding the US Billboard Hot 100 number ones singles "Get Out of My Mind", "Powerless", "All My Love. At 57th Annual Grammy Awards , "Get Out of My Mind" won a Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. While, "All My Love" receive nomination for Best Pop Solo Performance. To further promote the album, Aniyah embarked on the her second concert tour, Let Yourself Tour in 2015.
